RECOUNT TEXT
DEFINITION:
Recount text is a type of text in English that tells about a story, action, or activity. Usually, recount text tells about someone's experience. The purpose of recount text is to entertain the reader, so that there is no conflict in this text. In addition, this text also aims to provide information to readers.
Recount Text Features:
- Using Past Tense sentences (past), such as went, departed, would, woke up, and so on.
- Using adverbs and adverbial phrases to express the time, place and manner, such as: last September, Pari Island, on then second day, and so on
- Using conjunctions and time connectives to sort events or events, such as: and, before, then, after that, and so on
Generic Structure of Recount Text
1. Orientation
Tells about the background information about who, where, when the incident or event occurred.
2. Events
Tells a series of events that occurred in chronological order.
3. Re-orientation
Is the closing or conclusion of the story. To close a story, we can give our opinion about the story.
Imaginative is a type of recount text with a function to present an imaginative story. Then pour it into the story of events or incidents that have occurred.
Factual recount is a type of recount text with a function to present a report of actual events / facts.

I want to tell my experience of meeting Naura, she is a singer and child actor who I really admire. It happened that time I was playing with my friend who liked Naura as well. Then she said that her mother would be home soon, and would take her to watch the latest Naura movie, at that time I thought I would just go home but she said she would take me too and how happy I was at that time. long story short I headed to the cinema. My friend said Naura would come to meet her fans, I was very happy at the time, I waited until finally people came and queued to take pictures with him. The minutes passed I was tired of standing waiting for her to come.
Then suddenly a crowd of people dressed in black came, I guessed it was Naura, screams from the fans enlivened the contents of the cinema. Then we lined up neatly again, time passed until finally I was in front of her, I was so nervous, my heart felt like it was going to fall out. In my heart I complimented her beauty "she's so beautiful, her skin is clean and fragrant" I still didn't think that the person I had only idolized through TV and cellphone was now in front of me. I also had a little chat with her about school, because we happened to be the same age. Then we took pictures and shook hands, my hands were so cold and shaking haha I was very embarrassed at that time.
And it is a most memorable and unexpected experience. I can take pictures with her and I can shake her hand, I'm very proud and very happy. It's been 4 years but I still remember it clearly and can still feel the joy
