The musician who is better known as Michael Jackson or Jacko is a singer and songwriter who is very famous in his day and even today. Jacko was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana, America. He is a descendant of an African-American father named Joseph Jackson and mother named Katherine Jackson. He is the 7th child of 9 children. Jacko has become the world's break dance 'icon' who has a distinctive style and make-up, as one of his most famous is the 'MOONWALK' movement.
Jacko founded Heal the World Foundation in 1992. The charity brings underprivileged children to Michael Jackson's ranch to play on amusement park rides, and raises some humanitarian funds. Millions of US dollars have been sent around the world to help children suffering from war, poverty and disease. The name Heal the World Foundation itself is taken from the title of the very popular song, of the same name.
The father is a guitarist who works full time as a crane operator. Because of his father's obsession, Joe Jackson, who wanted his children to become stars, Jacko and his siblings lost their childhood. Even though his musical talent was not his main profession, Joseph encouraged his 9 children to be successful in the music world. Then in the early 1960s a family band called "Jackson 5" was formed. The popularity of the Jackson 5 increased rapidly. From playing in local gigs, until joining the famous label owned by Berry Gordy in early 1969.
For several years Michael Jackson and Jackson 5 have been busy touring and recording albums. Because of its popularity, this band made a cartoon series on television that aired in 1971-1972. But in that year Michael Jackson decided to take a solo career, but still maintained his position with Jackson 5. At the age of 13, Michael Jackson launched the song Got to Be There with the same album name. The Jackson 5 disagreed with his record label in 1976 and then joined another record label, Epic Records. The band's name was changed to The Jacksons
Michael was only ten years old when he sang with 'The Jackson 5'. Michael Jackson was still in this family band, until 1984 he decided to leave for a career on his own, and it was only at the age of 24 when Jacko scored a hit that eventually sold worldwide and became legendary. Jacko at that time had even reached his peak. The greatest success was achieved in 1983 on the album "Thriller". Sales of the album reached nearly 50 million copies. This is the record for most album sales of all time. "Thriller" is a testament to Michael Jackson's expertise in processing music. Slow-tempo ballads, disco songs to rock (Beat it) were all on the album. Jacko's talent suddenly gained worldwide recognition.

On the contrary, the wealth acquired by him does not give satisfaction, his popularity curbs, and in the end it becomes a tragedy. Together with 'The Jackson Five', Michael and his four older brothers, raised by their own father, Joe Jackson. The musician who is also the operator of heavy equipment is obsessed with making his children become stars. For that Joe applies harsh discipline to his children. Playing rough with hands was no stranger to the Jackson brothers. Not only to Michael, but also rude treatment to his daughters like Janet and La Toya Jackson. Michael says his father used to whip them when the show wasn't satisfying. “Many say I never left my childhood, that's wrong. I never had a normal and happy childhood, ”Michael said in an interview on an American TV show.
The pressure of popularity turned out to make it difficult for 'The King of Pop', Michael, who was actually very shy, did not like to appear in the center of attention in public. On a daily basis, he used to shut himself up in his Neverland ranch, which was equipped with a playground and a small zoo, with two of his pets, the chimp Bubbles and the Llama. This then led to strange stories about his lifestyle. Starting from the appearance of Jacko, who changed his face shape and skin color from black to white, as well as his fondness for playing with children, finally plunged him.
